About Us
Musician’s Ears is an audiology clinic owned and operated by Dr Ian O’Brien MAudSA(CCP).
Ian is a certified clinical audiologist, professional musician, educator and researcher with extensive clinical expertise in hearing aid fitting, tinnitus management, hearing protection and hearing health. He holds roles as a Research Audiologist at Audeara, musician at the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, and Senior Lecturer (Adjunct) at Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University. Ian is dedicated to preserving the hearing of musicians through technology and education, and holds qualifications in music and audiology. You can read his published research here. Ian is also a guitar tragic and plays in Crisis, a psychedelic rock band.
